The only barrier is our readiness

Nature Walk

treker-3.jpgWith the birds singing, kids playing and laughing, lawnmowers buzzing, and just the all-around warm weather sounds - it’s now time to take nature walks. Connect with nature by getting out there at least once each day for no less than thirty minutes. This sounds like an “assignment” and I don’t mean to, but just breathing in that air is so good for your cells and senses. This may be another meaning for sense and sensibility; be sensible - connect with the earth and get out there for a nice long walk. Try for at least 1 -2 miles. You’ll feel so good afterwards!

Get a good pair of walking shoes or sneakers or trek-type sandals and walk around your neighborhood. If your neighborhood is not a desirable place for a stroll, then find one that is. How about a park? Walk your pet, or walk a neighbor’s pet - they probably wouldn’t mind.

botannical-gardens.jpgCircumstances sometimes do not allow us to leave the house due to an illness or injury, so sit on the porch or at the window and just breathe in that wonderful fresh air. Perhaps a family member or friend could take you out for a bit. Do what you can with what you have. Enjoy the earth!

Happy trails!
