The Color Purple (A Feng Shui Series)
What do we know about this color? Besides being beautiful, and not the most popular choice for most folks, the color purple is very powerful. It’s in our advent wreaths and our Easter baskets. But in the world of Feng Shui it’s the top color choice for prosperity. Don’t believe me? Laughing at me? Give it a whirl and see for yourself.
First and foremost you must locate that Prosperity Corner in your house, or in a particular room. Each house has a corner, and each room in the house has one too, but we’ll cover that on another day. For now, imagine a big, giant tic-tac-toe board spread out on the floor of your Living Room. Stand in the doorway of the most used doorway to the room. Example, my Living Room has two doorways: one from the entrance hallway and one from the dining area. The entrance hallway is “the” main doorway into the room and the one that you truly “enter” the room from, so that’s the one I’m going with. Figure out your own by the same method.
Okay, so, standing in that true entranceway doorway to your living room, the northwest corner is your prosperity corner. That’s where purple needs to be. Now, in my prosperity corner are several colors, and purple just isn’t the dominant color - that you can see. Get something purple - anything! - and place it there. It could be a swatch of purple material placed under a candy dish, a purple crayon slipped into the potting soil of a plant, purple flowers, a purple sticker stuck on the bottom of a lamp - purple is purple.
Here’s the test: place purple in your prosperity corner and watch what happens. That’s all you have to do. Within seven days you’ll see.
Questions, Questions. . .
I recently came across an email that had a few questions on it and it was supposed to be funny. It actually was, but this one question kept nagging at me like a seed caught in my tooth - I couldn’t leave it alone. Here’s the question: If it’s true that we are here to help others. then what exactly are the others here for?
Can I hear a hallelujah? Very good question. And the answer is, we are to continue helping, not interfering, but helping. Remember - you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make him/her drink. Just because you help someone in the way that you help, doesn’t mean they’re going to accept it, welcome it or even notice it. Should you give up? Not on your life!
And, yes, there are plenty of folks out there who seem to take and take and take and “chumps” that seem to give and give and give, but that’s for the Godesses and Gods to even out, not us. So keep giving - not your last cent, don’t be foolish, but do it out of love only. Once you give out of resentment or guilt you may as well shoot yourself in the foot. The people who take will have to step up to the plate at some point to give and even though it may not be giving back to us they will give - it’s the way the Universe works.
May the Goddesses help guide you. Peace.
Vibrational GPS
Change can be scary for some, but I find it exhilarating! Think about it for a second. You get do things differently from the way you’re doing them now, which, if it’s time for a change, can’t be good anyways. Maybe you need a little encouragement. That’s where this article comes in.
The first step is to understand and know, really know that you need a change. As physical beings who came here to create - (remember, manifesting is the end result; creating is the feeling/emotion of the act) - we can change things in a snap! You’ve gotta want to as well as aligning yourself with the emotions of change.
For those of us who dread or not look forward to change with great enthusiasm, this may be a tad difficult. Send the good vibrations out to the Universe and the vibes of the Universe will respond in kind. Kinda like the radio dial, tune it to the station you want to hear (the good vibes that make you feel good) and out comes the music you want to hear. You can’t turn on a classical music station and expect to get classic rock, so don’t walk around all gloom and doom expecting good to come to you. Like attracts like and if your gloomy, well, hello!
So, turn on that radio to some real feel-good music and begin the dance of life. It’s the only way you’re gonna get “there” - it’s your own personal Vibrational GPS.
The Power of Green (A Feng Shui Series)
Ah, not just associated with the Irish anymore, and I’m definitely not writing about anything to do with going green. What I’m writing about is going for the green. And there’s nothing wrong with that. We are supposed to be abundant and have plenty so green will be our guide.
Is it any wonder that Dorothy Gale was headed toward the Emerald City? The land of milk and honey, so to speak; her own backyard? Money is power and freedom. Let’s face it, how far are you going to get without the green? Not much farther than your backyard, and you could possibly lose that backyard without some of it.
Therefore, use the color green in the prosperity corner of your *bagua. Plants, pictures of real money, anything green is going to work here; go green in the prosperity corner. Green gets you out of the red - so to speak - so work this color into that corner. I placed a small bag of that gold-foil covered chocolate candy in my prosperity corner with a green ribbon tied around it. Worked for me!
*Bagua: In simple terms is is one of the tools used in feng shui to help us determine preferred locations in the home or in the office for certain functions such as wealth, health, fame, etc.
