Silver & Gold (A Feng Shui Series)
I love that old Burl Ives song, but this article isn’t about Christmas. It’s about keeping in the theme of things with good energy. Silver (metal) and gold always serve up good energy. Perhaps that’s why the best gifts come in small packages.
But here we go with Feng Shui. Silver can be almost anything silver or metal - be careful about using sharp objects. Aluminum foil is silver so use it. Gold? Lots of stuff is gold-colored; the Universe is not that picky about purity of ingredients, it’s looking for the color so lets serve up some gold. What have you got that’s gold-colored? Place the gold in the prosperity corner - for obvious reasons.
As far as Feng Shui is concerned, metal symbolizes organization and is for wealth and protection. Here are some metals you can use:
- Stainless steel
- Aluminum
- Brass
- Sterling silver
- Silver plate
- Iron
- White metal
Metal is associated with money and is used in Chinese coins. The coins are round with a square cut in the center of them. Tie a bunch together with red ribbon or yarn then place them with your business records or maybe appointment books - even near your business cards. For Feng Shui reasons they really do seem to attract wealth.
Health Center (A Feng Shui Series)
The center of our homes is the health section, according to the Feng Shui Bagua. Keeping this area clean and clutter-free is the place to start. Plus a few extra tips just may help you with a better life balance and optimal health. Try these “tricks” to see.
Because it is the center of the house and it’s about our bodies, fresh fruit in a bowl here is a very good idea. This is symbolic of vitality and good health. Earth tone colors and symbols of the earth such as mountain pictures or natural, scenic pictures hung somewhere or on tabletops will help. A candle (fire) or something with stars and the sun in it will also work. The funny thing is if you place a comical item in this area it will do your health good. Remember that laughter is the best medicine. I keep a smiley-face, magic-8 ball on my entranceway table. Everyone picks it up, shakes it and laughs.
Try these tips out for 7 days and see how your health improves.
Repeat After Me. . .
“Riches of all kinds are drawn to me easily, effortlessly, frequently, swiftly and daily.” This is one of the mantras that I use daily, daily, daily. No lie. I have several of them that I use on a rotating basis and I cannot begin to tell you how my life has changed and grown by using these. Are riches of all kinds drawn to me? But of course - and in more ways than you could imagine. Okay, maybe you really can imagine them.
I believe these words of wisdom before, during and after I say them. I declare them out loud - not loudly, and not in a whisper - but out loud (use the talking to yourself volume) while making the bed, putting clean clothes away, getting dressed, vacuuming, doing dishes, whatever. But always in private. I like my time with the Universe to be a sort of one-on-one kinda thing; not with anyone in earshot.
Give it whirl. Make up your own positive statement that you feel comfortable with and believe. Start out slowly like I did many moons ago. I used: I am whole and perfect. It wasn’t easy because who the heck thinks they’re perfect, except an egomaniac? Well I was created perfectly, so why not?
What Is A Treatment?
When you pick up a classic, metaphysical book, the original authors always speak of this thing called a “treatment” and some of us don’t understand exactly what this is. So I did my research on it and here is my explanation:
A treatment is our absolute belief that we can. We believe that when we ask for something that our request goes out there into an actual Creative Realm where it gets picked up and the Powers That Be begin working on it. The Powers That Be are the where all things are possible receive the impression of our thoughts and words then act upon them.
But you gotta believe it’s true and that it’ll work. If you don’t have that believing, then you’ll never get it - in more ways than one.
Be advised that it’s never safe to ask for something that you do not want to happen. And, by the way, you can’t wish for things for someone else - you can’t create for others; focus only on what you wish.
Believe in your heart of hearts that your wishes are being heard and looked after. Kinda like a message in a bottle. Which, if you feel better performing an actual physical act of asking, go ahead and do so - write them down. I don’t suggest placing them into a bottle and tossing the bottle into a lake, that would be a bad idea, but you can keep the paper in a safe spot, such as tucked into a Bible or one of your favorite inspirational books.
The whole point of a treatment is to believe. Believe you will receive what you are asking for. That’s it. Can you believe?
